I always try to support smaller local music shops and this is a great reason why. I came in to purchase an acoustic/electric ukulele and got great service from them. They cut me a deal even and I walked out the happiest girl! They even gave me a new set of strings for my uke and offered to string it for me when the time comes. Great place to shop for instruments or accessories.
An LUsually mom and pop type music stores are on the expensive side. Not so here — there’s a lot of really good values. Student instruments and rentals are especially reasonable. Knowledgeable and easygoing staff. No super-expensive gear, more oriented to families, students, and working folks. I usually try these folks first before going to a chain music store.
Keith MI never paid much attention to this music store/center (even though I live relatively close by), but was very pleasantly surprised when I finally wandered in the other day. They have a pretty diverse selection of instruments for purchase/rent…guitars, drums, pianos, violins…etc. as well as a fairly good selection of sheet music and musical accessories.
Alana LDropped by here because I heard they did guitar repairs and sure enough they were more than willing the help me. Jake was really helpful in explaining everything and even chased me down when I forgot a pack of guitar strings that I bought. My guitar should be ready by the end of the week and the process was both cheap and painless – exactly what I was hoping for.
Mark GMy son takes private piano lessons here with Rebecca McCabe. She is wonderful. We were absolutely beginners level when we started 2 years ago. He had an oppotunity to change piano teachers recently and I left the decision up to him. He said “No way.” Pricing is very reasonable and she teaches students of all ages. I definitely recommend her if your want to take up piano lessons. Oh and the staff here had always been friendly & helpful as well.
